…As winners emerge in Nescafe #GetStartedAfrica promo

Adamu Muazu from Kogi State has emerged the winner of Nescafe #GetStartedAfrica and was presented $10,000 to help bring his dream to life. Muazu is a political science graduate and is currently observing the mandatory National Youth  Service Corps.
Necafe #GetStartedAfrica, a youth entrepreneurship initiative across Central and West Africa made tour to cities in Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal to collect the dreams of the youths. At each city, citizens of between the ages of18 and 30 had the opportunity to submit their dream projects in the area of technology, health, art & culture, community development and environment.
According to the Managing Director Nestle, Mr. Dharnesh Gordhon, “By April when the tour concluded, we had covered total distance of 7,672km collected over one million dreams. All the collected dreams were posted on the NESCAFE Facebook page or others to comment, like and engage with their favourite dream. The NESCAFE jury then shortlisted the 10 most liked dream projects from the fans.” He explained.
The 25 years Muazu is already on track to becoming a full-fledge entrepreneur with his power optimizer. His dream is to light up the continent of Africa starting from Nigeria with one power optimizer at a time. Dharnesh confirmed that out of many entries, Muazu’s entry stood out because of the uniqueness of the idea and in its ability to fill a dire need in the society. “His invention – the power optimizer- is designed to increase the output of a generator set allowing it to power more appliances without causing any damage.”
Ghana’s Sam Mensa clinched the third position while the first runner-up was Chidi Chukwuma from Nigeria.
