2019 elections: INEC to use donkeys, camels, others to distribute materials in Taraba

The independent National Electoral Commission has said that Donkeys, Camels and canoes would be used to distribute election materials in difficult areas in Taraba State.

The head of voters education and publicity in the commission, Fabian Vwamhi, said that about 5 local government areas have difficult terrains in the state

Vwamhi also noted that 15,000 ad hoc staff were recruited by the commission for the 2019 general elections.The Taraba State chapter of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that it would hire donkeys and canoes to distribute election materials in areas with difficult terrains for the 2019 general elections.

Our correspondent reports that the head of voters education and publicity in the commission, Fabian Vwamhi, disclosed this in an interview in Jalingo.

It is gathered that Sardauna, Gashaka, Karim-Lamido, Ibbi and Yorro local government areas had difficult terrains and therefore donkeys, motorcycles and canoes would be used to distribute election materials.

Vwamhi further stated that 15,000 ad hoc staff were recruited by the commission for the 2019 general election.
