2015: Obi, PDP not threat to APGA —Anyamene

AMAECHI PERCY ONYEJEKWE, Awka
A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Vincent Anyamene has said that former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi and the PDP would not be a  threat to APGA in 2015.      Anyamene stated this during a chat with journalists at Ukpor, Anambra State.    On the allegation that Obi would be used by the PDP to mar the chances of APGA in the 2015 elections in the state, the politician and House of Representatives aspirant explained that given the achievements of the APGA in Anambra State, Obi and the PDP would not pose any threat to  APGA in the election.    Anyamene, also known as Ochiagha Ukpor, said that judging from past experience it was expected that the people would vote massively for APGA whose achievements, he stressed surpassed those of the PDP in the state when both parties were compared with each other.    He said although political parties might have strategies for winning elections such strategies could fail when they contain plans to rig elections.    Anyamene advised APGA to forget Obi and concentrate efforts at building and sustaining the party.
He commended Governor Willie Obiano for initiating policies which, according to him, had continued to impact positively on the lives of the people.    “APGA has come to stay. Without Obi the party can move on. Obi tried his best as governor of Anambra State. But if the PDP and Obi think that they can overcome APGA in Anambra State, they are mere jokers. They cannot be hindrance to APGA sweeping the poll in 2015”, Anyamene said.#
